Hi there! I’m Bri—a busy mom just like you, trying to make the most of this beautiful, chaotic life. If we were sitting down over a cup of coffee, I’d tell you that I didn’t always live this way. In fact, I used to have what most would call an “easy” modern life.
I grew up in a world where we bought everything we needed (and wanted) without much thought. My parents worked hard, earned a living, shopped to fill the pantry, and then repeated the cycle day after day. That was just normal life. It’s what most of us knew, and it’s what I thought I wanted too.
But somewhere along the way, things started to feel off. I noticed it in the stress, the clutter, the endless bills, and the general sense that we were always chasing something but never quite catching it. And then came COVID—a big reality check. It made so many of us question whether the modern way of living was truly sustainable or even fulfilling.
I couldn’t stop thinking about my grandmother. She canned her own vegetables, baked fresh bread, and always had a home-cooked meal ready when we visited. Her pantry was magical to me, filled with rows of homemade jams, juices, and maple syrup. I can still smell the sweetness and warmth of that space. It felt safe. It felt simple. And it felt like home.
That’s when I realized I wanted something different for my family—something more grounded, more intentional. I wanted to trade the fast-paced, easy life for something slower and richer. So, we took the leap into homesteading. And let me tell you, it hasn’t always been easy, but it has been so worth it.
If you’re anything like me, maybe you’re feeling that same pull toward a simpler, more traditional way of life. Maybe you want to grow your own food, make homemade meals, or just slow down and focus on what truly matters. Or maybe you have no idea where to start and feel a little hesitant about putting down those roots.
Friend, I get it—and I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s figure it out together. Join me on this journey as we swap the chaos for calm, the clutter for simplicity, and the modern grind for a life that feels a little more like home.
